the everything shower
There’s something about an everything shower that feels like a reset button. It’s one of my favorite ways to slow down, care for myself, and start the day feeling refreshed and nourished from head to toe.
I start by shampooing my hair with a deep lather—and I always do it twice ( thanks to a tip from my hairdresser). The second wash is where I really feel like my scalp is clean and refreshed. Then I apply a deep conditioner and let it sit while I move on to the rest of my routine.
While my conditioner is working its magic, I begin exfoliating. First, I use our facial Resurfacing Oat Mask to gently buff away dry skin and leave my complexion feeling smooth and refreshed. Then I move on to our Calm Body Scrub for the body. It leaves my skin incredibly soft and prepped for shaving.
After shaving, I rinse everything off and step out of the shower feeling completely renewed.
One of the most important steps comes next. While my skin is still damp, I apply our Calm Body Oil from head to toe. Applying body oil to damp skin helps lock in hydration, and I love the healthy glow it leaves behind. My skin feels soft, nourished, and dewy all day long.
Once the body oil has had a few moments to absorb, I move on to my skincare routine—a ritual I’ve followed for years because it works so well for my skin.
I start with our Hydrating Mist, followed by our Bright Serum loaded with Vitamin C. Next comes our Restore Serum, packed with antioxidants and hyaluronic acid to support hydration and healthy-looking skin. I finish with our Face Balm, which seals everything in and provides lasting moisture. I tend to have drier skin, but it’s gentle and nourishing for all skin types.
One of my favorite things about keeping my skin hydrated is that I don’t feel the need to wear much makeup, especially during the summer months. Healthy, dewy skin always feels best to me.
Before heading out for the day, I finish with a layer of sunscreen to protect my skin.
That’s it. Simple, straightforward, and effective.
I don’t do an everything shower every day. In fact, I only wash my hair about three times a week, depending on my schedule. But whenever time allows, this ritual helps me slow down, feel cared for, and start the day feeling my best.
Sometimes self-care isn’t about doing more. It’s about creating a few intentional moments that help you feel refreshed, confident, and ready for whatever the day brings.
